Greene County Mayors Announce Tri-City Challenge to Give
United Way of Greene County, and the Mayors of Beavercreek, Fairborn, and Xenia are teaming up to sponsor Tri-City Challenge to Give, a friendly competition between the cities to increase participation in the 2001 United Way Campaign. This announcement will be made on Thursday, June 28 at 3:30 p.m. at the United Way offices, 100 West Main Street, Xenia.
"Obtaining this level of commitment from three cities has energized our Campaign Cabinet," said Richard Weis, United Way of Greene County 2001 Campaign Chairman and Senior Vice-President of Quality Assurance for Elano Corporation. "We are looking forward to passing this energy onto everyone who supports United Way in Greene County."
Fairborn Mayor Larry Long, Beavercreek Mayor Julie Vann, and a representative from the Xenia City Manager's office will be in attendance to endorse the campaign goals set for their cities.
