Wright State Athletic Director to Lead Greene County Campaign

Dr. Michael Cusack, Greene County Chair, has been the director of athletics at Wright State University since April of 1982. A native of Levittown, New York, Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education from Long Island University, his Master of Science degree in physical education from Queens College and an Ed.D. degree from New York University in administration of physical education and athletics.

After graduation, Michael spent nine years at Queens College as a member of the physical education faculty. Since his move to Wright State, he has overseen the construction of the Ervin J. Nutter Center, Nischwitz Baseball Stadium and Alumni Soccer Field, all of which rank among the best athletic facilities in the Midwest. In addition, Wright State moved to the Midwestern Collegiate Conference (now the Horizon League) and the development of the Life SKILLS program that enhances the student-athletes through a mixture of academics, community and university service as well as the typical athletic endeavors.

Michael and his wife Dot have five children and six grandchildren.
