Kenny DeLany Named United Way Campaign Labor Co-Chair
Kenny DeLany, President of the Dayton Building and Construction Trades Council, will serve as this years' Campaign Labor Co-Chair.
He began his career with a four-year apprenticeship with IBEW Local 82 beginning in 1963. In 1982 he was elected Business Manager of Local 82 and became the Executive Secretary of Dayton Building & Construction Trades Council in 1991.
Kenny has served as Vice-President of the DSSMV AFL-CIO Labor Council for 20 years. He worked with the Building Trades and United Way to build the gazebo in Carillon Park, and is active with Habitat for the Humanity, Mountain Days, and has coached Little League.
Kenny was named "Labor Leader of the Year" in 1992 and again in 2000.
