IBM and United Way Distribute Computers to Local Agencies
United Way of the Greater Dayton Area distributed a Young Explorer system to YMCA of Dayton Child Care Services and YWCA of Dayton Child Care and an IBM NetVista A21 computer to Golden Age Senior Citizens Center and We Care Arts as part of the IBM 2002 Technology Grants. In order to be eligible for the computers, agencies have to provide services in youth education opportunities/early learning programs, community and family services, support for the disabled/disadvantaged, adult services, and/or youth development programs.
