History

United Way of the Greater Dayton Area is an independent, nonprofit organization overseen by a local volunteer board of directors. Aside from government, United Way is the largest funder of health and human services in our community, serving residents throughout Montgomery, Greene, and Preble County. Nationally, there are over 1,400 United Way's -- each one is local and autonomous.
