Agency Tool Kit
United Way's Volunteer Connection will refer prospective community volunteers to nonprofit organizations serving Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties. Agency volunteer coordinators are responsible for responding to all referrals promptly, as well as submitting required documentation to Volunteer Connection.
All positions requested will be posted online. A limited number of positions will be advertised monthly in the Dayton Daily News. Please contact the Community Volunteer Liaison to have a position removed.

Special Event - United Way's Community Care Day 2007
Please join us for United Way's Community Care Day on June 1, 2007. Please review agency eligibility guidelines and the responsibilities of participating agencies. Project proposals must be submitted online. Project proposals must be received no later than Monday, February 12, 2007.

Nominate a Community Volunteer of the Month
Have an outstanding volunteer? Nominate him/her by completing our Community Volunteer of the Month Nomination Form. Volunteers will be recognized on the United Way website, in the Dayton Daily News and on WDTN's website.

NetWorks! is a cost-effective new collaborative still in development that brings together providers of capacity building services to meet the diverse and changing needs of nonprofit organizations in the Dayton region. NetWorks! was created in response to the void in services left by the closing of The Center for Nonprofit Resources.

The Miami Valley Association of Volunteer Administratos was established in 1994. The mission of this organization is to promote the professional management of volunteer programs in the community and enhance the knowledge, skills and professional image of volunteer program managers.

Since August 2005, WDTN-TV 2 has recognized the efforts of volunteers named Community Volunteer of the Month. Each recipient is featured in a photo and accompanying story online.

United Way's Volunteer Connection is a member of the Points of Light Foundation and Volunteer Center National Network. The Points of Light Foundation's mission is to engage more people and resources more effectively in volunteer service to help solve serious social problems. The Points of Light Foundation works in partnership with the Volunteer Center National Network to help mobilize people and resources to find creative solutions to community problems.
